Our Wedding

We met at Harry’s Bar on September 13th, eight years ago. I hadn’t wanted to go out that night — it was Natalie Smith’s birthday, and if it weren’t for her (and a little nudging from Sabrina), I would have stayed in my five-mile comfort zone. Instead, I ended up playing pool, eating bad pizza, and singing karaoke. Somewhere in between, I started chatting with a cute guy at the bar. He was sipping a beer and waiting on a burger. I couldn’t tell you exactly what we talked about, but I remember we laughed. When his food came, he said goodbye and walked out the door. Not an hour later, he walked back in. He ordered another beer, came over, and asked if he could have my phone number — and maybe take me on a date. I said yes, and here we are. Forever grateful to Natalie and Sabrina for getting me out that night — and always, always thankful that Eric came back.
